What We Do
RESCUING HORSES, PONIES & DONKEYS
We are a registered charity and work closely with Seprona (environmental law enforcement) and the local police, as we have no powers to confiscate.

REHABILITATION & REHOMING
Once our horses and donkeys are fully rehabilitated, our main aim is to find them a forever home.

Grey mare

Born 2016
Pastora was found abandoned after her owner’s death in Guadix.
She is a nice mare, but can be protective of food.
She will do well with one to one handling.
Cristal
Grey mare

Born in ?
Cristal came to us from Jubrique together with another mare on 13 May 25. They had been shut up in a filthy, dark stable for years.
A lovely young mare with a friendly nature who learns easily. Needs clear consistent signals and will do well in experienced hands.
Emcee
Grey gelding

Born 2021
Confiscated from Huelva with others, starving and neglected.
He has had little sympathetic handling, so needs to learn to trust humans..
Pirata
Grey gelding
160cm
Born +- 2000
Rescued 13.07.2022 from the dry riverbed near Pizarra. Found together with a deceased horse.
Pirata suffered from a severe eye infection and a castration gone wrong (now cured). He is suitable for light hacking.
Brisa

Bay Mare

Brisa is filly Marea’s mom. She will be available for temporary foster only.
Pinocchio
White Welsh pony stallion
Born 2017
110 cm
Pinocchio was confiscated by Paprona Guadix, Granada. He had very long hooves and was very thin, but is getting better every day.
He is a sweet, talkative boy, loving and craving attention . Easy to catch and handle. Can possibly be ridden.
He will be available for temporary foster once he has recovered from his castration, which is scheduled for October 2025.

Autumn Fest 2025

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: ARCH Horse Rescue, Viña Borrego, Alhaurín el Grande
The annual ARCH Autumn Festival is a very special event for all our supporters. We have a fun dog show, lots of interesting stalls, delicious food and refreshing drinks, along with first-class musical entertainment.
It’s a great day out for the whole family, so save the date, we hope to see you there!
